Vice President George Kunda says no amount of bickering from the opposition will detract government form perusing its development agenda for the country.
Livingstone, February 05 -- Vice President George Kunda says no amount of bickering from the opposition will detract government form perusing its development agenda for the country.
Mr. Kunda says the opposition has nothing to offer because they are no longer talking about the economic strives the country has made so far.
The Vice president says it’s strange that the opposition cannot see the positive indicators of economic growth such as the single digit inflation rate and the general stability of the economy.
Mr. Kunda was speaking on arrival at Livingstone International airport this morning.
He said Zambia has the potential to develop all her economic sectors especially with hard work.
And Mr. Kunda says it is not right for opposition PF leader Michael Sata to refer to National Contitution Commission (NCC ) delegates as plunders.
The Vice president says there is a lot of decency at the NCC adding that nd that all the operations are guided by the law. He said all the money being used at the NCC was budgeted for by parliament.
Mr. Kunda described Mr. Sata as a sadist who will never appreciate any positive stride the MMD government is making.
He said it would be dangerous for the people of Zambia to give him a vote in the 2011 tripate elections because his characteristics have proved that he cannot be trusted with his leadership.
He said it is important for Mr. Sata to know that the NCC is comprised of men and women of integrity who are determined to give Zambia the constitution the country deserves.
Mr. Kunda advised UPND opposition leader Hakinde Hechilima to forego his association with Mr. Sata because he has no respect even for the UPND /PF pact members of parliament attending the NCC. He said it is strange that Mr. Hechilima has kept quite instead of defending his MPs from unwarranted attacks from Mr. Sata.
Meanwhile, the Vice president has said the ruling MMD is the party of the future because of its sound economic policies for the country.
He said the MMD government is now working on the 6th National development plan.
He appealed to the people of Southern province to give president Banda a vote in the 2011 tripate elections.
